|Cobalt Octoate Drier 12%
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
It is a metal soap (generally called as metallic soap) of Cobalt. Cobalt octoate in mineral turpentine oil or di-butyl phthalate containing 12% cobalt metal. It is derived from double decomposition of sodium salt 2- ethyl hexanoic acid and cobalt salt.
PRODUCT APPLICATION AND FEATURES
This is a primary drier. It is an oxidation catalyst and acts as surface drier. It accelerates the catalytic action of Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide to polymerize unsaturated polyester resin. In combination of other octoates or napthanates this is used as a primary drier in paint industry.

KEEP AWAY FROM OXIDISING COMPOUNDS

Keep away from oxidising material or oxidizing reagents as it reacts violently with them.
SHELF LIFE
When stored in a tightly closed container, below 30ºC, the product will remain within our specification for a period of six months from the date of manufacturing.
PACK SIZE
Packed in 200 kgs MS drum. Smaller pack size is available on request
